CROTTA O’NEILLS HURLING CLUB VICTORY SOCIAL

All roads will lead to Ballygarry Estate Hotel and Spa, Tralee on Friday 19th January 2024   to commemorate our Senior Hurling Team on their victory at Austin Stacks Park on Sunday August 6th at Austin Stack Park, capturing the County Championship after defeating Lixnaw by 0-15 to 1-09.
Also honoured on the night will be the victorious Crotta Minor Team, who won the County Hurling League Div 1 title in 2023. Special guests on the night will be members of the Crotta 1968 County Championship winning panel.
Awards on the night will also be presented to a very worthy Hall of Fame recipient (Matt Stack and P J Stack Memorial Trophy), Club Person of the Year (The Sam Hilliard Memorial Trophy) Minor Hurler of the Year (Monty McElligott Memorial award), U-21 Player of the year  (Diarmuid Galvin Memorial award) Intermediate  Player of the Year (Maurice Egan Memorial award)  and Senior player of the year (Dick Parkinson Memorial Trophy),
Proceedings will commence at 7.00pm sharp.

Entertainment on the night will be provided by BIG JIM. Admission to Social is by ticket only and can be purchased from Club Officials at €50.
A bus will operate on the night from Kilflynn village to Ballygarry Hotel (at approx. 6.30pm) and home afterwards.
Cost €3 to the Hotel and €5 home from the Hotel.
We’d love to see a big crowd on the night to celebrate our amazing team and their fantastic achievement in being crowned Senior County champions for the first time in 55years.

We will be based at Crotta Gaa Community Walkway, dromakee, Kilflynn  anytime between 7-9pm every evening in January. So shake off 2023 and start 2024 with a bang and help the palliative care unit in Tralee. This may be a stepping stone to a fitter and happier 2024 and who knows what it may lead to.

Crotta Hurling Club have agreed to extend the deadline for the €23,000 Giveaway draw until Sunday 17th March 2024. This decision has been taken as sales have unfortunately fell short of our expectations.
We hope to sell more tickets in the coming 2 months, so that we can continue to invest in the Club facilities. So for just €25 you can buy a ticket (or 5 tickets for €100) for their #CrottaChampo draw and be in with a chance of winning one of 10 cash prizes. Main cash prize is €10,000. KERRY SENIOR HURLERS

There was no repeat of their famous win of 2022 for the Kerry senior hurlers over Tipperary as Liam Cahill’s charges were much too good for their visitors in their dead-rubber Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League clash in Nenagh on Sunday 14th January on the final scoreTipperary 1-28 Kerry 1-14. The Crotta Hurling Club was represented by Tomas O’Connor (Wing Back) who captained the Kerry Side. A great honour for his family, club and county.

CROTTA LOTTO JACKPOT RESULTS

The Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw was held on Monday night 15th January, at Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 1,8,13 and 26. There was no winner of the 7,600 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Phil and Keith Hannafin, Leith East, Tralee, Sarah Rohan, Knockbrack, Kilflynn , Aidrian Keane, Glenballyma, Kilflynn.
The next draw will take place in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Monday night 22nd January at 10.30p.m with a €7,700 Jackpot.

The Crotta GAA seeks applicant for Scor members.
It’s a new year so try a new activity
Scor Details:
The County Final of Scór Chiarraí Scór na nÒg will take place on the 2nd Feb. This is a county competition only for this year.
If anyone is interested please contact our Scòr Òfficer Tom Breen on (087) 274 8555 before next Saturday 20th Jan.
Scór na bPaisti North Kerry Final will take place on Sunday 25th February. Time and venue TBC.
The Events for Scór are: Figure/Ceilí Dancing, Solo Singing, Ballad Group, Recitation/ Scèalaìocht, Novelty act/ Nuachleas, Instrumental Music , Set Dancing and  Table Quiz.
