MUNSTER TITLE FOR SONNY EGAN
Huge Congratulations and Well done to Sonny Egan, Garrynagore, Lixnaw who won The Senior Storytelling competition at a sun drenched Munster Fleadh in Blackwater College Lismore Co Waterford on Sunday 18th July. A grand total of 21 Munster medals came home to Lixnaw Comhaltas branch members with all first and second place qualifiers heading to the All Ireland Finals in Belfast in August. A fantastic achievement for everyone who got to compete in the Munster finals and we wish the very best of luck to those going to Belfast.
KERRY CAMOGIE
Hard luck to the Kerry senior camogie team, who lost out to Laois in the semi-final of the Intermediate Camogie Championship at Glenisk O’Connor Park, Tullamore they went down to Laois 1-17 to 2-7.The squad had a very successful year, winning Division Two and securing promotion to Division 1B for 2027.
We are very proud of our own Crotta ladies Roisin Quinn, Aoife Behan, Jackie Horgan and Amy O’Sullivan representatives on the team.
KERRY V MAYO
The Kerry Senior footballers take on Mayo in the All Ireland Senior Championship Final this Sunday 26th July at Croke Park with a 15:30 throw-in live on RTÉ and Radio Kerry.
Best wishes to Cillian Trant and his Kerry teammates and management also safe travels to the Kerry supporters to and from Dublin. #CiarraiAbu

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS
Parker’s Pub in Kilflynn hosted the Crotta Hurling Club’s weekly lotto draw on Monday 20th July. The four numbers drawn from the drum by the independent observer, Sonny Egan, Garrynagore, Lixnaw were 8, 17, 27, and 30. No one won the €8,500 Jackpot.
Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Catherine Godley, Snipefield, Ardfert, Mike Parker, Kilflynn and Mary Long, Abbeydorney
The next draw will take place in Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn on Monday, 27th July at 10:30 p.m. with an €8,600 jackpot.

Crotta GAA & Ballyheigue GAA super U6’s hurlers played a friendly game on Friday evening 17th July.

Keane’s SuperValu County Minor Hurling Championship Semi-Final on Wednesday evening 22nd July, Crotta play Ballyduff at 7.00 pm in the sports field Dromakee. Best wishes to the Crotta players and their mentors.
Kerry have secured their place in the TG4 Ladies All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final on Saturday 18th July, at FBD Semple Stadium, in Thurles they overcame Dublin 2-16 to 1-9. Congratulations to Niamh Quinn, Crotta and her Kerry teammates and their management.

The Abbeydorney/Kilflynn Active Retired Group enjoyed a wonderful day trip to Lough Derg on Wednesday 15th July . Members took in a relaxing boat trip around the lake before enjoying a delicious lunch at the Lakeside Hotel.
