DARTS EXHIBITION A HUGE SUCCESS

LAST Sunday afternoon 27th February was a memorable one as Dart players and enthusiasts from all over Kerry, as famous darts player “Rapid ” Ricky Evan’s travelled to the North Kerry village in order to play an exhibition match in Parkers Pub, Kilflynn.
He didn’t disappoint his many fans in the region, on the day to meet and greet where the posed for photos and signed autographs, after this it was on to the main event where Ricky took on 22 players who generously paid for the privilege of pitting their skills against him — with Tralee native Peter Nammock of Kilflynn coming up trumps against the pro in front of a large and excited audience, with a sensational 120 checkout.
Well done, Peter!

Also, a special mention to Sarah Redmond, the only Ladies dart player, to take on the PRO and didn’t disappoint with a tops finish to record a historic victory. Well done Sarah!
Some players came close to defeating the darts icon, but it was a great occasion for Tralee darts players who beat the dart legend on the day.
Ricky is described as a legend in the world of darts and one of the fastest throwers on the circuit was special guest of proprietors, Mike and Geraldine Parker in what was one of several such exhibitions to take place in the bar in recent years.
Previous darts heroes to perform at Parker’s include Peter Evison, Dennis ‘The Menace’ Priestley; Colin ‘Jaws’ Lloyd, Wes Newton, Brendan Dolan, Willie O’Connor, Connie Finnan and Dean ‘Over The Top’ Winstanley and his wife Lorraine Farlam (the former women’s world number one), Eric Bristow (R.I.P)  John Lowe and Peter “One Dart” Manley
It is great that we can welcome back this great darts exhibition event in Parker’s Pub and look forward to welcoming Tony “Silverback” O’Shea and Andy “The “Hammer” Hamilton to the Kilflynn venue on Sunday 24th July. Finally, thanks to everyone who attended on the day and helped in making the visit of   “Rapid ” Ricky Evan’s! such a success. #supportlocal #darts #Kilflynn #RickyEvans
