ST. MARY’S CEMETERY ALTAR

The St. Mary Cemetery, Kilflynn working group are again appealing to you, to bring the almost completed covered altar to a finish. Unfortunately, we now have a financial shortfall to complete the altar and weatherproof it for the winter. Due to Covid 19 we have not had our yearly graveyard mass, which would provided us with the required funds. If you would like to donate to complete the covered altar, you may do so by dropping in St. Mary’s Church, Kilflynn at mass time. Or alternatively Parker’s Bar or Herbert’s Bar /Village Store, Kilflynn. Thanking you in anticipation Tom Breen,Bess Cashell, Josephine Whyte or Kathleen Moriarty.

Supporting your Parish
I think  most parishioners will know that, all over Ireland, Church income(especially income for running the parish– the money coming from parish envelopes and the cash that, up to the coming of Covid 19, was collected in the Offertory Collection) has fallen.  Because people may come to a weekday Mass, who do not come at the weekend, the basket that is left in the church at weekends (envelope or cash offering put in, when entering for, or leaving after, Mass) will also be on a table at weekday Masses.  Naturally, those who contribute at weekend Mass, need not feel obliged to contribute at the weekday Mass.(Fr. Denis O’Mahony)
