SCOR NA NOG COUNTY TITLE FOR CROTTA

Last Friday night 2nd February saw a group of Crotta supporters make their way to the Community Hall in Milltown for the Scór na nÓg Co. final.
Crotta O’Neills Scor na nÒg representative on the night were Amy Cronin (Solo Singing) and instrumental Music Group of Sarah Murphy, Róisín Abeyta, Conor Brennan, Thomas Breen and Ellen Trant.
Our young musicians were crowned County champions again following a fine performance. Congratulations to the fantastic musicians who retained their title.
Amy Cronin has represented the club brilliantly over the last number of years and once again she delivered a spine-tingling performance on Friday night.
Thanks, and well done to all the Children named above for their hard work over the last few weeks, and to their parents for supporting us in Miltown.
Special word of thanks and our amazing Scor officer Tom Breen, Tom quietly goes about his work each year and goes above and beyond to provide the platform for the children to take centre stage. Congratulations & well done everyone.

CROTTA LOTTO JACKPOT RESULTS

The Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw was held on Monday night 5th February, at Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 3,14,21 and 27. There was no winner of the 7,900 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Tom Rice,Abbeydorney, Paud Tuomey, The Waterfall, Kilflynn and Kathleen O’Connell, Crotta, Kilflynn
The next draw will take place in Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn on Monday night 12th  February  at 10.30p.m with a €8,000 Jackpot.

KILFLYNN CITY RUNNING GROUP

We have crossed the finish line of our January challenge at the Crotta Gaa community walkway, Dromakee, Kilflynn on Wednesday 31st January, an absolutely fantastic effort by everyone involved and a massive thank you to everyone who donated. We have far exceeded our initial goal and even in our wildest dreams we never thought it would be the success that it was. This group of people are an example of what can be achieved when a community comes together and gets inspired by one common goal.Niamh, you are the absolute embodiment of what belief, determination and indomitable spirit is and a true inspiration to so many of us. Thanks also to Crotta Gaa for the use of the fantastic facility.
Who knows what’s around the corner for us. Final thank you to the Kerry Hospice Foundation for the incredible care and dignity they provide to so many.

KERRY SENIOR HURLERS

NATIONAL HURLING LEAGUE DIVISION 2A, Round 1
The Kerry Senior hurlers got their league campaign off to a start at Austin Stack’s Park, Tralee on Sunday 4th February and were defeated by the visitors on the final score of Kerry 0-19 Carlow 3-22.
The Crotta club was represented  by Tomas O’Connor who came on at half time for  R. Walsh and Bill Keane (Blood sub) Adam O’Sullivan is also a member of the Kerry panel. Kerry’s trip to Ballycran to face Down next weekend
